All New Parents Need Support.
I’m here to help so you can parent with more confidence, joy, and ease.
Stacey Cloud, Postpartum Doula in Evanston, Illinois
Welcome! I’m glad you’re here.
Parenting newborns can be a great joy, and at the same time new parents often feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and isolated. All new parents need support, and I’m here to help so you can parent with more confidence and ease.
As a postpartum doula, I provide a warm connection and personalized postpartum and newborn care, as well as education and resources for the whole family. Families are made in many different ways and come in many configurations. I look forward to supporting your family.
All new parents benefit from support, and you’re smart to be seeking it!
You can feel a sense of relief knowing you have a trained and experienced doula by your side, and I will help you be better prepared for the days and nights ahead.
When I come to your home, I will support you in many ways so you are more able to enjoy and bond with your newborn(s).
Depending on your needs and interests, postpartum support could look like:
Connection and emotional support for you
A time to share and process your birth or adoption or surrogacy story
Newborn care, guidance, and reassurance
Assistance with feeding (breast/chest feeding, pumping, bottles)
Getting systems organized so you have more time to rest and recover
Strategizing how to improve sleep for the whole family
Caring for the baby(ies) while you rest
Help thinking about how to support any older children in the house
Considering diapering options (cloth, disposable, elimination communication)
Teaching you how to wear your baby in a wrap or carrier
Newborn-related housework (washing bottles/pump parts, infant laundry)
Accompanying you and your baby(ies) to doctor appointments, outings, and errands
Helping to connect you to other resources in the community
With the right support, you will feel seen, heard, and less alone, and this can be a time of joy and connection.

Hi! My name is Stacey Cloud.
I’m a certified postpartum doula and a mom to three kids. I’ve been in education–teaching children and teachers–for over two decades, and have been drawn to new parents and babies for as long as I can remember.
I was elated but exhausted when my first child was born, and was beyond overwhelmed when my premature twins came home less than three years later following prenatal surgery, bedrest, and a lengthy NICU stay. I wish I had sought out postpartum doula support both times.
I feel strongly that when new parents are able to bond confidently with their babies in the first months of parenting, those families, and our entire society, benefit. With the right support in place, the first few months with a new baby (or babies!) can be filled with joy and connection. I’m honored to work with families during this special time, and I’m looking forward to connecting with you and supporting your growing family. You don’t have to do this alone!
